About Mrs. Zeches
I originally moved to North Carolina from California in 1996 and attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and UNC Pembroke. In 2002, my husband’s Air Force career took us to Europe.
While living in The Netherlands I was able to begin my teaching career as a substitute teacher. Having been immersed in this environment for over two years, I gained the unique experience of teaching children to work as cohesive teams through cultural and language barriers. In 2005 we moved back to the United States, to Omaha, Nebraska, where I completed my middle school teacher certification in both science and language arts at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. From 2012 to 2018 I have been teaching 6th grade science as well as botany and ecology at Fred J. Carnage Magnet Middle School. I am excited to be joining the Wildcat family at West Lake Middle School, and look forward to working with students in both science and ELA. On a personal note I have been married to my husband, Rod, for 28 years and we have two daughters that we are extremely proud of. Savannah is a graduate of UNC Wilmington and currently works for Duke Research in Durham. Kaysie graduated from UNC Charlotte and is teaching 1st grade at R. Brown McAllister STEM elementary in Cabarrus County. |
